What you need to do when carrying out renovation works
- In carrying out any renovation works within your premises or kitchen, do ensure that your renovation contractor does not damage any exposed or concealed pipework.
- For condominium apartments, a layout plan may be obtained from your MCST to ascertain the location of the concealed gas pipes, if any, before any work (eg. drilling, or hacking on the walls) is carried out.
- Please note that any installation, alteration or repair of gas pipes can only be carried out by City Gas or a Licensed Gas Services Worker (LGSW) engaged by the owner. A list of the LGSW is available at EMA's website at www.ema.gov.sg .
